Who we are
Landmark Relief International is a humanitarian and development organization incorporated in Ontario, Canada. We exist for one reason: to help families facing poverty, hunger, and crisis meet their most basic needs and rebuild their own means of living — both here in Canada and internationally.
We serve people of every faith, background, and community on the basis of need alone. We are proud to be rooted in Canada, and our work begins at home: supporting food-insecure families in our own communities while also reaching families in crisis overseas. We are a partner-led organization. Rather than building a large expatriate structure, we deliver through trusted local partners who know their communities, speak their languages, and remain long after an emergency ends. We hold ourselves and our partners to recognized humanitarian standards and keep firm control over how every dollar is used.

Our mission
Landmark Relief International relieves hunger and poverty and protects health among people affected by poverty, conflict, and disaster, in Canada and around the world. Here at home, we work alongside local community partners to help food-insecure families in Canada. Internationally, we work primarily through trusted local partners to deliver food, improve access to adequate and nutritious food, treat and prevent malnutrition, strengthen essential health services, and help families build secure livelihoods — always keeping firm control over how our resources are used, and always assisting on the basis of need alone, without regard to faith, ethnicity, or background.

Six values govern every decision we make and every partnership we enter.
Dignity
We treat the people we serve as rights holders and partners, never as passive recipients.
Integrity
We account fully and honestly for every dollar entrusted to us and report what is true, including what is incomplete or went wrong.
Impartiality
We assist on the basis of need alone, without discrimination of any kind. We serve people of every religion, ethnicity, nationality, and community — Muslim and non-Muslim, newcomer and long-settled, at home and abroad — because human dignity does not depend on background.
Accountability
We are answerable to the people we serve, our donors, and the regulators that govern us.
Localization
We invest in local partners and local solutions, and strengthen their capacity rather than displace it.
Evidence
We ground our decisions in assessment and data, and we learn and adapt.

Landmark Relief International is incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation in Ontario, Canada. Our corporate registration can be verified through the Ontario Business Registry. Our governing policies, board, and financial statements are published on this site.
